The Albert Byrne PODCAST – Conversations for Change

“Today I have the privilege of speaking with Issa Amro, a Palestinian human rights defender from Hebron, West Bank, Palestine.

In 2007 Issa founded Youths Against Settlements inspired by nonviolent thinkers like Gandhi and MLK Jr. He has been internationally, recognised speaking at forums such as the UN Human Rights Council. In 2024 Youths Against Settlements and Issa were awarded the Right Livelihood Award sometimes referred to as the alternative Nobel Prize.”

Today we will explore his frontline work in non-violent resistance, daily life under occupation, and what global solidarity can do to support Palestinian freedom.”
